Talking to Spirits : Psychic Retreat

About this trip

Join psychic medium, Erica Lee, and trained clairvoyant, Melissa Nierman, for a truly transformative 4 night/ 3 full day psychic retreat to the Spiritualist community of Lily Dale, NY, also known as "the town that talks to the dead." With an intimate group, we'll explore our connections to the spirit realm and our own energy as psychic beings. We've rented a beautifully quirky 19th century mansion in nearby Jamestown and each day will include hands-on psychic skills workshops, energy meditations, and spirit circles at the house, as well as free time at Lily Dale to experience the town and its daily offerings of mediumship message services. 

On the final day of the retreat, everyone will get a full pass to attend Lily Dale's Science of all Things Spiritual Symposium, which brings together academics from around the country to share their research on the history of Spiritualism and what mainstream society labels as the "occult." The Spiritualist movement, with its belief in life after death, has experienced a long history of demonization by the culture at large. Yet its birth in the Victorian Era went hand and hand with the women's rights movement and the abolition of slavery.  

Together and using a feminist lens, we'll question what we are taught is "normal" and "real" and reclaim our access to our natural psychic abilities.

The Mansion

We'll be living LARGE together in a historic 6000 square feet mansion in nearby Jamestown, NY with lots of room and lots of personality. Built in 1860 (and rebuilt in 1925), the Shelton House has 5 bedroom, 4.5 baths, and all the things you'd hope to find in an old mansion - from a marble foyer to a 180 degree staircase to five fireplaces to a Solararium room. It sits on 1 acre of private land and you'll have plenty of space to relax and enjoy the summer vibes on the outdoor patio and/or two balconies. There's air conditioning throughout and for music lovers, stereo systems and a large music library. Although you won't have to worry about cooking, there's a chef's kitchen for preparing snacks. There's also two parking lots for those who are coming in cars and laundry in the basement. Wifi and cable included. 

Facilitators

Melissa Nierman is the owner of NowAge Travel. She's a trained clairvoyant, tarot teacher, feminist history nerd, and a forever 80s stand-up comic in a past life.  With a Bachelors in Sociology and a Masters in Education, she's passionate about reclaiming our "occult" histories from the clutches of patriarchy and picnics.

Erica Lee is a gifted international medium who has performed hundreds of readings all over the world.  She's passionate about spirit connection and has studied with celebrated mediums, such as Sirry Berndsen, Brenda Lawrence, Eamonn Downey, Carole Lynne, and John Holland and is mentored by International Mediums Tony Stockwell and Mavis Pittilla.

Policies

This retreat is open to all female, queer, trans, non-binary and two spirit identified people and is meant to be a safe space for those who attend. 

You're welcome to put down a $222 non-refundable deposit to hold your space. Full payment must be received by July 1st 2020.  Payment plans available. 

Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy described here will apply, with no exceptions.  If unforeseen circumstances occur (ex. injury, illness, work issues, family emergency etc.), you're welcome to find someone else to take your spot. If we have people on the Waitlist, we'll do our best to replace you, but cannot promise this. 

If for any reason, NowAge Travel cancels the retreat, we'll refund you in full for all payment including deposits, but cannot compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. We do recommend purchasing Travel Insurance, if that's a worry. 

Attendees are responsible for leaving the house as they found it it. Any damage or fees incurred due to the state of the house upon departure will be the responsibility of the attendees. 

By putting down payment, you agree to abide by all of the above policies.
